    Default squeaking heater!!!!

    its driving me mad

    any ideas how i can stop it making the noise as i dont really want to be shelling out on a new unit this time of year

    Me too, my squeak goes away when its hot tbh. So I just keep mine on hot and point it at the window. Mine was replace with a second hand one as the old one packed when the water came through the pollen filter before I bought it.

    Not on this car but I have sorted a squeaky fan by spraying wd40 after removing the pollen filter with the fan running. Just make sure the vents are pointed to the floor and you have some news paper down there. Also don't use too much wd

    Aye thats the best option mate..the bearing on which the fan rotates dries out over time and needs a bit lube to help it along..a bit like a woman

    Yep i used wd40 on my fan as when i bought my veccy the resistor needed changing, when changed the fan squeeked on lower speeds, wd40 and no squeek.
