Default Well it had to happen. My car a boy racer and bad luck!

Thought to myself today I think I'll pick up the old dear and take her out for lunch. So off I pop with the four year old daughter picked the old duffer up and went off to a near by village for some lunch. As I'm driving round the car park in first at tick over some numpty boy racer in his rover 25 (yes of all the cars) reversed out without looking into the side of my car!

Anyhow after dragging him out his car with it's boom boom stereo and a lightly scared looking girl passenger and almost battering his face in my now less than pristine front bumper I was calmed down from dishing out instant justice by my old dear mums eh?

The damage luckily for this boy a mere £750ish for a new bumper, paint and labour. Although his Mother and he want to pay rather than go through insurance as he is 19 and paying £2k plus with two years no claims!!!!

Why is it you just can't have or do anything without some idiot ******* spoiling it for you? Gutted....

Wait until Rover-boy and his mum phone you up later saying they've found a bloke who says he can repair your car for £170 and you "have" to use him for the repairs.

make sure you still tell your insurance company so there is a record of it if he backs out of paying!

Well I fully understand the lads predicament. As had been mentioned accidents happen and I very much doubt he'll reverse out at such speed without looking over his shoulder again.

What gets me is the only damage is a split front bumper and as the car is an 09 reg I want a new unsplit bumper on my new unsplit car! but after showing this lad and his mother the now three quotes they still seem to feel I am somehow trying to rip them off! It appears I should be grateful for them getting the corner "blown in" and have obviously spoken to someone in the trade (I've over ten years in the body-shop game) I'm going to ring my insurance in the morning as TBH I can see where this is going. A slight 'nudge' as he puts it shouldn't be costing him 'nearly a grand?!?'

I'm sorry for him but this morning I had a undamaged Veccy now I have a Veccy with a split front bumper and I want the same car I had this morning. Is that so wrong??
