    Default Are the 1.9 cdti 150 engines the same?

    Hi guys, buying a 2005 vectra 1.9cdti 150 sri and just wondering as far as tuning goes like the dtuk box, is the engine the same from the first 1.9cdti to the most recent one

    Yeah in a nutshell; however newer ones will have the updated egr valve and manifold. You could take the risk with an earlier one that one of previous owner(s) has had these replaced.

    Thanks for the reply, so basicly if i want any sort of tuning box or remap i need to upgrade the egr and manifold? read somewhere about blanking the egr off would this be possible or?

    It is recommended to remap the car if you get the updated manifold as the soot levels will stop the swirl flaps moving eventually.

    You can get the fiat gaskets which limit the amount of soot entering the manifold.

    If you go for the DTUK tuning box just as Andrew (the owner of DTUK) for any info. He's from up your way and his own cars were 1.9CDTi's.

    Personally I'd go for a Remap over a box, there are arguments for both.

    Do you have the part numbers for these fiat gaskets?

    I'm replacing the inlet manifold and actuator this holiday and would like to include the restricted gaskets.

    71751468 and 55191883, they were £12 and £3.19 plus vat taken from the following thread m8:
