Default Philips blue vision and headlight question

Just changed standard bulbs and went for osram nightbreakers and mtec 501 sidelights (cheers Dan for advice on removing airbox). Anyway I wasn't 100% happy with the look of the mtecs as they seemed very blue compared to the dipped beam. So I ordered some Philips blue vision bulbs to see the difference. I fitted passenger side (the easy side!!) and compared it to mtec on drivers side. I have to say the philips are very impressive!!! If anyone is after a very very crisp white light then I definitely recommend the philips!! The car looks so much better!!!
However I did notice something when the lights were on. I seem to have finger/thumbprints on the glass of the dipped beam projector housing. How can that happen? I didn't even touch the glass of the osrams and held them by the metal base to fit. Anyway how could someone get their fingers right inside to the glass?? Very strange Could it have happened at production??

The MTEC's are best used with HiDs as the dipped beam, they match really well indeed. Not sure on the fingerprints, but could have been done when made, where's CSI when you need it

Fingerprints on the actual glass wouldn't affect the light output would it...... as if you have fingerprints on the actual bulb glass?? And I'm just curious on the facelift is the dipped beam meant to have that smoked dull look to the glass coz since I have had the car I presumed it is meant to be like that but just pondering now....
