    Default Water Dripping

I have a 2006 Vec C V6 2.8 that is dripping water from the back of the engine compartment, saw it first last night when it left a trail on my drive, on starting this morning a further quantity of water poured out. Took it straight round to the dealer where I bought it. They checked it said they pressure tested the system and no fault found and said that it was overflow from the AC condenser, I drove it home and there is still water dropping from the same place but its cold not hot so it has not come out of the engine.

Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas?

If you dont lose any water in the system, it should come from the ac, like the dealer said.

Totally correct at the dealer.. It's condensed water from the outside of the AC coil..It's tottaly normal and nothing to worry about..You've prob not noticed it till now as it only really drips when the AC works hard, like today..If you want, smell the water.. there will by no 'glycol' smell as it would if it was coolant.

    no need to worry mate.

it will also be cool.. as it's come from a very chilly condensor coil.

I remember picking up my first car with Climate Control ... took it for a test drive, it was roasting hot outside and when I parked up at the dealer I was giving it a very close once over and noticed liquid dripping from under the car ...... I felt a right numpty when the sales guy said .... "Air Con Condenser"

Thanks guys, it was just that my Vec B with climate control never did it, and that one still sits on the same drive as my wife now has that one, had to use it today it's a 2.2 and it dont half feel underpowered.
