I think i've read people do wheel size x 2 + 1/2 psi... then 4 less for rears if cars empty...

Rim size x2 is too basic - for many cars, Vectra-C included, different wheel sizes are offered with different profile tyres to keep the rolling radius the same - the tyre pressures recommended by the manufacturer are generally the same, regardless of rim size.

    x2 may work for 16's - but not for 17's and 18's.

Sadly I don't have an owner's manual to hand to answer your question.

It has always worked fine for my 17's on all 3 of my Vectra's

So what's the point of Opel/Vauxhall working it all out for each body variant, each engine variant and each tyre size variant?

It's just unfortunate that Mark's owners manual has printing errors, ie blanl pages.

I got 17 inch SRi alloys and was told by the guy at JustTyres to inflate them to 35psi, which I do.

I always use rim size x 2 (and maybe add a couple) always have in any car I have had in various wheel sizes from 13" to 19" and never had any problems or uneven tyre wear.
