    Default cold running problem

    wondering if any one else has this,when cars frist started up cold and drove its realy flat with no go in it till nearly 2000rpm the car is a1.9cdti sri vectra c its like it in 1 2 3 gears only when cold any thoughts cheers

    The CDTI's actually perform better in cold weather due to the slightly higher air density. If it unresponsive in low revs in cold there may be an egr issue.

    i run a 2.2dti and its the same. but i rarley cane it when cold. its probably got something to do with the viscosity of the oil when cold

    The ecu on the 1.9cdti will not allow you to cane it until the engine has reached a reasonable working temp... it's meant to prevent you from killing the motor.

    & oh yes all turbo cars, petrol or derv prefer the cold weather
