Default 2 Wing mirrors snapped off & window smashed

All happened last night when I went back to my car after being in the casino in the city centre, nothing was left in the car so they never got anything.

Police come etc. said I can either do it 2 ways, report it and go through the insurance (which will send my sky high premium even more ski high, im only 22). Or just pay out of my own pocket.

The cars a Sri (facelift model) 55 plate. Just wondering how much you looking on 2 brand new wing mirrors (inc. the electrical connections to move them inside the car) and a drivers side window.

ABSOLUTELY PEED OFF! Someone mentioned I can claim through Criminal Damadges but Im unsure...never been involved in this before. Thanks for your help in advance...

If you've got windscreen/glass insurance on your policy, then it shouldn't affect the premium. Use that to claim for the window, and as said, ebay / scrappers for the mirrors.

You can report it to police without claiming on your insurance. They're just trying to keep the crime figures down.

For your window just ring autoglass, they will fix it under your insurance but you have to pay a window excess you need to check how much that is mine is £50, also you have to be full comp to have this cover on your policy, like i say call autoglass give them your reg and they know who your insured by and everything they do all the paper work you just pay the excess and you get it fitted properly, and this does not affect any no claims on your insurance

Depending on where I park, I will sometimes leave the armrest thing and glove box open when I leave the car..... It's like saying "nothing here to nick, now sod off".

I do sometimes wonder though are we better off just leaving the doors unlocked?
