    Is it still stuttering though??

Might be worth pulling the airfilter and checking there isn't a blockage.....

As the famous words of Vectra-C are "Looks like it's time for the dealer for you!"

    Sorry mate

not stuttering the second time just smell of fuel. was totally fine on the way up the road apart from being a bit unstable at a high speed i reached but thats probably down to the tyres which are getting replaced tomorrow. but sat at steadt speed of about 75 most of he way with cruise control on. then off the motorway and along some a roads no probs at all. havent usedit as they have been resurfacing outside my drive so just left it sitting. will see what they say tomorrow. cheers for the replies mate.

The fuel could be the unburnt fuel in the cylinders mate, so might take a while to burn that off.

Had it on a 1.3 Diesel Astra today. Started it and for some reason it idled at 500rpm. Turned it off, warmed up again and fired it. Ran fine but tad smokey for a mile. Otherwise fine.

Take it you were on very uneven surfaces at the pod, maybe you grounded it without knowing, have you checked the fuel lines under the car?

Lines run under pressure when engine is running so will most likely leek when engine is on. It happened to me on my pug, just came loose joining the filter, a simple press and click to sort.
