    Default Air con compressor

The air con pump on my 1.8 LS has seized. If I take it off to have a look at it will I be able to drive the car round as normal without it or not? Does it effect anything else?

you will need to get it de gassed first and hav ethe fluid taken out before you remove it, plus if you remove it the aux belt wont run the alternator to recharge the batt

you can get a shorter V belt and adjust the tensioner to ensure the alternator is still driven. When I had my pump done the guy suggested while I waited for the part.
