    Default exhaust reducer size

    hi all managed to get hold of a standard dual exit exhaust system from a vec turbo for my 2.2,what i wanted to know is how i should have it fitted and what size reducers will i need to do away with the centre section on my car and have a straight through pipe from flexi back,or just use the y section on the end if i do this what size diameter reducers shall i get to join the y section to existing 2.2 system,manythanks in advance

    I've done the same conversion mate. Cut both pipes before the Y section, cut 2 slots in the Y section end, slide it over your 2.2 centre section with some zorst putty and just clamp it up, jobs a good un.

    is your car petrol or diesel???
    have you got the centre and rear sections???

    hi mate been waiting for you to pop up is the 2.2 centre a differnt diameter to the 2.0t also would you advise doing away with the centre box as the hangers are rusted through

    hi glynn i have th right hand box,y piece and a straight piece which must go to cat or box on the 2.0t and the cars petrol

    it should be a straight fit then fella as i had a 3.2 mid are rear boxes on my 2.0 dti and that went straight onto the front pipe

    nice one mate was going to get it welded up but if i can just clamp it all the better
