I've got a 55 plate 1.9 CDTI 150,and want to change the fuel filter. I've tried to find a how 2 on here but can't find one.Is it fairly straight forward and do these engines take much bleeding afterwards?
Thanks in advance.

Quite eaey, no issues with bleeding as the CDTI has a fuel pump in the tank.
SO get a container to collect excess fuel.
Disconnect the 2 fuel hoses, can be carefully removed with a smallish flat bladed screwdriver.
Disconnect the elec connector.
Lift gently out of the crash box and disconnect the elec plug on the bottom.
Undo the drain screw on base 1 full turn and drain off the diesel.
Take filter housing and put in a vice, be gentle so as not to crack.
Unscrew the cap, lift off the top with filter connected.
Twist filter about 50 deg and unclip from lid.
Very important replace seals.
Empty any remaining diesel from housing and clean inside, be careful not to leave any bits of fluff etc.
There are arrows on the cover and filter align and then click filter in place.
The lid is torqued to 30Nm/22lbf ft. Vx have a special adaptor.
Rebuild and refit.
Then turn on ignition for about 15 secs (dont start engine) switch off and repeat, this will prime the filter.
Start up and check for leaks.
Cheers for that.I will give it a go.
