Default Park pilot front parking sensor question.

Does anybody know or can anybody measure the size of the hole which the front parking sensor holders require in the front bumper of a Vectra facelift. The holders are the one's which are bonded onto the rear of the bumper. I'm guessing at either 23mm or 24mm, if it's 24mm happy days as I can get a hole saw however I can't find a 23mm hole saw anywhere and I just want it to look as if it was factory fitted.

thats so weird as when i was fitting the same type of sensor brackets to
my rear xp skirt i had to have a 24mm but could only find a 23mm till i asked
me m8 and he had a stepper cone cutter which gives you from 16mm-25mm
which is better than a holesaw cutter as its pretty rough when its cutting
and can also slip, your best getting the stepper cone cutter but theyre
about 20-30 pound to buy but thats better than buying another bumper.

when your ready to cut the holes and if you use the stepper cone cutter
then do it from the back and not the front as the cutter may make a
chamfer on the edge of the hole you cut and you dont want the chamfer on
the outside do you,not like i did when i was cutting the holes out of the rear
    skirt dohh

    hope this info helps

    Hey Andy,

Well i measured the diameter of the protruding piece at 23mm so that will make it a good fit, however if there is supposed to be a slight gap around the sensor bracket it will have to be a 24mm hole. As you say trial and error won't work here as i'll end up replacing the bumper

Was kinda hoping somebody with some original factory fit sensors would be able to post a pic of how it should look, otherwise i'm gonna have to around the local supermarket carparks and dealers until i spot a Veccy with them fitted.

    bigmac,

If you local supplier happens to have a 23mm hole saw and arbor for it, will you give me a shout please, will probably go with Andy's suggestion but want to keep my options open as really don't want to mess my bumper up.

If no-one's done it by the time I crawl out from under my duvet, I'll post a pic of one of mine and measure it for you.
