Engine bay... Gonna play with paint at weekend...

All caps are going to be changed to red, from the manky yellow as i've done with every vauxhall i've owned...

The SRI is silver lightning, so questions on the covers...

A. what colour would you suggest, star silver or body coloured - totally different...

B. Which would you do, just the enging cover? or engine, battery and airbox?...

C. any other suggestions, like other combo's? red engine cover, rest silver... etc...

Open to suggestions...

I'd do the engine cover in red and the battery and air filter box in star silver. I think red for all covers would be too much and the silver on the air filter and battery cover would tie it all in.

**** at photo shop... but leaning towards body coloured now, and could even get a nice red irmy sticker to put on the engine cover for the full width, match the caps then too...

are you painting it with normal spray or some heat resistent paint? I thought about doing something along these lines, but wasnt sure if the paint would flake off with the heat?

The 2.2 cover doesn't actually cover the engine, it only hides the inlet manifold so regular paint will be fine.
