seems pretty steep to me,...
i paid 50c quid a corner for springs, shocks and bushes... which seemed a bit pricey but good garage so worth it, But that does seem a bit much
i would pay no more than £70

It is a failry lengthy job, but soo much easier with the car in the air. Hence, I would reckon approx £70-£100'ish?
Thats why vx charged me £270 for parts and fitting. The parts were about £70 each side =£140. That leaves £130 labour.
dont go there.... 2 upper control arms - 2 x rear susp arms - timing belt - 2 x front springs - discs and pads all round - major service - 4 tyres - £1600 quid - at the 95k miles mark...... i was crying.. a lot! had to sell my gtv to pay for it
Bit like me this month .2 Upper control arms, 2 front springs, 2 rear michelin tyres. And MOT today. Luckily it passed.
Yeah but that was the first big spend in 95k miles.. but it had taken 4 yrs to get to this point!
If you are in any doubt, get at least three quotes
Make one of them a dealership, just to compare (as sometimes they can be the same price or cheaper than an independent)
Even better if you can get the part numbers, otherwise quote the same car details (eg 2005 2.0 DTI elite)
I don't how £130 per side, excluding parts, sounds to others
But when some people have already posted they can get it for £70 per side, it makes that quote look expensive
