Thought you would have done your Rear upper arms by know.

Regarding the shocks, i changed mine about 2 yrs ago what an absolute doddle off a job. My symptons were the back end skipping out when you hit a pot hole or uneven road surface.

Could feel quite alarming that it will spin the car round say on a uneven roundabout. Best way to check is to undoo the bottom bolt of the shock extremely easy to get to and when the bolt is removed, try to push compress the shock upwards.

If its seized it wont move, you should be able to move the shock up and down by hand. Both mine were seized.

I didnt replace them with vx ones again as they are poooooo.
Went to my local car shop and got a pair there.

Bilstein B4's are a decent replacement for not much money.

    I second this!

Although while I had the shocks off, I figured i'd change the springs for Eibach Pro's for £150 (lifetime guarantee) too after reading all the broken spring horror stories.
The ride quality is vastly improved AND the it's superb in the corners now too.... I recently had some guy in another LS trying to follow me around a traffic island, he had to back off when he realised he was headed for a ditch
