Tis a tad expensive for the spec, esp has been said when you can get a new un with dual core,2-3 gig of memory and around 80 -250 gig hard drive.
Celerons are cut down versions of intels flagship too.

    Buy new ..

I wouldn't buy an "Advent" laptop, I'd rather spend the extra & get one from a quality manufacturer, I'd always recommend Dell (even though I work for Fujitsu-Siemens!), I have a Dell Latitude which is Business quality, light on toys but built like a tank.

I've repaired my friends Advent several times (due to the kids dragging it around by the power cable!), nothing against Advent PC's (I've got a Advent motherboard in my Fujitsu desktop) just that laptops are not easily fixed when they break so I'd get a good one.

Got a nice laptop under my desk Celeron M1.6 Acer, one irate owner used as a frisbie, no hard drive, screen smashed & motherboard blown.
