    Default HELP - How to replace an Inlet Manifold?

    Hi all,

    Please can someone advise me to how to change an inlet manifold on a 1.9CDTi 55 plate? if that makes a diff...

    If anyone knows of a "How To" thread that would be very helpfull.

    are you intending on doing it yourself ? and have you brought the parts yet ?, im thinking of having mine done but would have liked to do it myself, any prices ?.

    My old man works at a body repare shop and was able to order part through them!!! As for price he want tell me - give us some time and i'll find out...

    I'd like to do it myself but its a 5.5hr job and has a few coplications to it as far as i know - i.e. shutting of the EGC valve and more...

    To change it the fuel regulator and timing belt have to be removed. Think there is eight bolts holding it onto the block plus a few fixings here and there.

    You are looking at around 5hours - or so the garages tell you.

    Good luck if you go through with it m8.

    The manifold is £185 at trade price, and I think the drive module is £150, then you need the swirl valve linkage.
