Have I got this right???

I have recently lowered my Veccy (30-35mm)
I took it to get a full 4 wheel alignment, and made sure all the wheels were 'in the green'. However, when i told the guy what i had done & what i wanted doing, he indicated that regardless of whether or not they aligned all the wheels, because i had lowered the suspension, getting the wheels in the green was in fact pointless?
They set it up anyway as per a 2.2 SRI (My car is a 2.2 elegance, is that correct?)

I run 17 inch GSI alloys too, so I guess what I am asking is, have i done the correct thing? - And if not, what's the corrective procedure?

After all my money & hard work, the last thing i want is for it to scrub tyres & handle really badly...

I can't see why they can't do anything, sounds like a lazy person who doesn't want to work for the money.

It sould be ok if he's set it right, but on ocasions the camber may need setting up.

mine's lowered 65+mm and the garage managed to get mine to vauxhall spec even with out using the eibach camber bolts i bought.
