was there a recall on dpf

my local garage says NO and that it will cost 83 quid for an hours labour to change ecu. Stealers EH!


car went into local non dealer garage because the bar had come off swivel valves on inlet manifold, spanner light was on. garage has said light was for block dpf and they would blow it out with air line, take it for a run to see if it regenerates. rang vauxhall, no recall.

is tech 2 available anywhere else? whats the best way to regen a dpf? would the inlet manifold problem be caused by a blocked dpf? can a dpf recover from being blocked?

no recals but they can do a flash program of the ecu software to update it. to get a regen get it hot then keep the speed above 30mph and revs above 2k. give it the od boot to help start the regen and take 10-20 miles
