You can turn the box right up to get that last few bhp out of your engine. This, however, will also result in thick plumes of black smoke when you depress the gas pedal, and a serious dip in fuel consumption. Your computer will actually tell you that you are getting even more mpg than you were before, because the more you turn the box up the further out the trip computer reads! LOL

Mines on the lowest map (D) and -10%, Ive got a V6. I did have it on the highest one for about 30 mins but the car was too savage, torque steer was hilarious for about the first 5 mins as the power delviery seemd to have a massive spike at 2000rpm. The current setting still gives masses of power with little smoke.

You have a V6 with a tuning box on! I hope you have it covered by a decent warranty!?

No! A warranty wouldnt cover it with a box anyway I think? Ive had it 4 years now and would have spent £3-400 a year on the warranty, so if I do pay out for something (ie fuel pump) then it will be around the same amount probably. I did recently have what I thought was the dreaded SCV problem, but turned out to be the dirtiest fuel filter I have ever seen. Did make me wonder if it was the box at the time though. Done 30k with the box on now and to be honest I very rarely use full throttle and tend to treat the car with some mechanical sympathy.

I thinking Im going to change the car in a year or so too, so I should enjoy it while I can.
