    Older diesels used direct injection
Very often this is badged as DTI

The development from this was high pressure fuel along a rail, known as a common rail
Very often badged as HDI, TDCI, or CDTI

Given the car you are looking at is 2004 I would assume it is common rail

thanks mate, i think it would be, im in a dilema at the moment the dti has 60k on the clock the cdti 30k but is 3k dearer at £8300 which isnt a problem as its for my buisness so i can off set it against tax, i know the new engines have had some issues along with all new mechanics like injectors egr ect but i dont know how realiable or strong the dti were/are ? all i know is the cambelt and track rod ends were changed on time at the 50k service

    It's a gamble...
    Cheapness high mileage
    or
    Expensive low mileage

Personally for business I always go for long term purchases, rather than the cheap option which often results in some hefty repair bills

The low mileage vehicle should come with a warranty
However these are often limited when the vehicle is sold for business use ex-VAT
However if you are sole trader then you can purchase it yourself, then lease / sell it to your business, that way you get the protection that a consumer gets!
That's what I do with my own car
