    Default CDTI 150 Injector Loom

    Sorry if this is a repost but what is the injector problem exactly on the CDTI 150's?

    What does it do to the engine/car's performance?

    I ask this as mines only has the yellow tabs on the injectors and after reading some posts/threads I have learned that mines has not had t he upgraded loom?

    Am I correct in saying the loom upgrade is £72ish or is that supply from dealer only?

    My car is not having problems - yet - but I have never really understood this fault.

    the loom is about £12 and thats with the vat

    According to the engine build number, mine should be ok. But having actually gone and looked, it also has the yellow clips, rather than blue.

    hi, the up-grade kit is about £12 ish. in kit you get 1 new plug ( blue ) and wiring to match. this is just for one. just renewed my no3 injector plug,what a difference it made. if you look it up in how 2 section. £12 x4 to do all the lot. don,t know why it affects no3 mostly ?

    Hi mate,

    The problem is that the heat from the engine causes the clip on Injector 3 to crack and lose connection resulting in misfire and poor performance.

    The kit contains a modified clip thats not affected from the heat.

    Doing mine this week when the kit arrives

    yes i had to have mine done, suffered these symptoms

    I'm currently getting a jumping and hesitation at 1800 revs when in either 2nd or 3rd.

    But always seems to be 1800 revs, does that sound about right Grimo72?

    Thats exactly the issue I had on my CDTi 150
