    Angry puddle ahhhhhh!!!!!!!

girlfriend was driving home last night and came across a flooded road she drove threw it and the car was fine, she went to a meeting at her work and came back and went to go threw it again but this time the car stopped right in the middle of it, she tried to start it but it was as if the starter was jammed she called for a garage to pick it up and have a look at it and well it turns out there is no compresion in the engine, so i called the insurance company and they are going to pick it up on monday and have a look atit so im not sure if they will write it off or not, what can i say typical scottish weather

Sounds like its sucked up water into the engine and hydraulically locked it.

It's seriously bad news if it has. Con rods can bend, etc.

Probably new engine! Why do people drive into deep water then expect the fire brigade to put them in a boat!
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I just laugh when i see people trying to drive through flood water then looking suprised when the car breaks down all to save a de-tour round it.

Hope the insurance pays out, its gonna be a new engine.
