don't know where the pole is but would chip dont like the way that boxes only mess with the fuel system
Re-map (chip) is the only real way to go in my opinion.
Neither for myself, I feel that 150 BHP is more than enough for me
i'd probably like my 150 tuned to deliver power smooothly insdead of a dolop of turbo when it kicks in and a bit more torqe lower down , and just for fun i think if it had around 185 bhp that would be a happy medium for me.
i voted tuning box, i know plenty of arguments that have been made against the tuning box but iv'e had mine fitted for about a year now. it's more than paid for itself in increased fuel economy and given me a nice power increase to boot, so all said and done i'm more than happy with mine.
box is fitted to a 120bhp cdti.
I voted "chip" 'cause mine isn't in the list.
Very soon I'll go to EDS ( Germany ). They don't chip the car , but re-write the ecu-software.
My ride will go from 150BHP/320Nm to a stunning 200+BHP/400Nm !!
I too voted chip on the assumption that it was meant to be remap...
My current Vec is standard, although i have had a remapped oilburner in the past.
This is just my preference & opinion, but... i would prefer the remap over a tuning box purely becasue the map alters all the correct parameters safely & not just the fuel pressure.
Ive got a DTUK Eco3 box on my CDTI. Made up with it
i got the same 1 on a 120 8v and no probs with it
