    Default New Signum v6 owner

    Hi

Just purchased a 2005 V6 CDTI Elite today....

Ridiculous that a car that originally cost over 25k can be bought for as low as just over £4k!

    Anyhow... hello!

    Peter

I bought my V6 Signum a couple of months ago, and have averaged about 42 mpg over 3000 miles... As long as you don't cane it everywhere, and don't spend too long doing urban or stuck in traffic, it's fairly easy to get...

had 3.0 estate (signum with a better looking rear end) for 3 and half years.

you can expect an average of 38 to 40 mpg IMHO.

Don't go there! the 3.0 doesn't like being messed about with. It's fast enough standard & if left that way is fairly good on reliability.

If you wanted to play you should have got a 1.9. But no matter what people say, a tunned 1.9 aint as good all round as the 3.0 in standard form.

Agreed. do NOT modify the engine otherwise you will be landed with a big wallet opener to get it repaired
Sadly you just need to enjoy it "out of the box"
I myself have never spent any money modifying a car, I like it that way
If I had wanted more this or more that, then I would have bought that a car with those specific requirements

From memory the Vectra SRI hatchback was £22000 new
I bought mine at 16 months old / 10K miles on a window price of £11995 for £10800
3 years later at 97K miles it has been valued at £3300
By the time I gat a car to 5 years old I only expect it to be worth £1000
