    Default Hids

    Right. I've had it

My HID problems are depressing me so much now. Driving to tesco today 10 minute drive. off side failed at least 10 times.

Time to put my hand in my pocket and buy a new set. Does anyopne have any recomendations. 35w or 55w?

On a lighter note once i buy a new set. Anyone wanting a spare set of bulbs and one good ballast for an Mtec kit free of charge give me a shout. Will only charge postage.

    Keith

this may be a silly question - but is the snap connector is fuly locked?? if its out my a tiny bit you may find that you have the connector on back to front this would cause the lamp to fail under vibrations - heat expansion etc.. you can easily plug the snap connector on backwards and it will work the lugs are not that different in size
just remember when and if you do discover that the connector is wrong and you do reverse the fitting that the lamp will not work until you reverse the spade connectors on the normal bulb fitment

yes mate i've checked everything. even soaked ballast in wd40 to no avil. even taken out airbow and moved the ballast into the inner wing. pulling my hair out now. Just a matter of time before it does it in front of the cops.

Has anyone got a 55w set? everyone seems to have the 35w.

Can't say for definate as i've only had them on 2 weeks but they've been great in the wet, wind and cold mornings. They have good feedback and they have a 2 year warranty on them

You'll find that all of the major HID suppliers use the same connections mate, so worth keeping them yourself if you buy a 35w kit
