supposed to be 10 years or 100k intervals. Stupid to leave it that long though.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    As above, it's a belt
The kit is about £200 and then you are looking at about 6 hours labour

I had mine replaced at 90K miles and it was in very good condition
The roller and tensioner were also in good condition
It should be noted that they are steel (and not polycarbonate as used in VX engines)

I would therefore expect they would last to 100K miles with ease, unlike VX engines which typically use poly rollers which have a habit of breaking up
This was one of the reasons I chose this over the 1.9 CDTI

Isuzu specification is 10 years / 200K miles

VX - 10 years / 100K miles (which doesn't match any service interval, but equivalent to third service)
    Saab - 10 years / 160K miles (eight service)
    Renault - 10 years / 120K miles (sixth service)

I am shotly going to be writing to Isuzu, so will ask for a copy of the Technical Data Sheet (as it has disappeared from their website)

That's the revised interval I have also chosen
I do agree that 100K miles is too much, but when you look at 10 years / 100K miles, you then realise that works out at 10K miles per year...

80K miles also works out nicely for the lower 20K mile service interval, adding additional oil and filter change at 10K miles
