Default Wiper intermitant delay switch...does it actualy do anything?

You know what i mean! the scroll wheel thing on top of the wiper stalk that is suposed to change the intermitant wipe in 4 stages from short to long. I timed mine on the lowest setting and it took 8 secs for a wipe....and guess what its 8 secs on the longest setting as well. Whats going on here?

Check yours tomorrow, wonder if they all do it?

No i dont, but loads of other types of cars have these time change switches without rain sensing wipers. And if my car doesnt have a rain sensor why does it have the scroll wheel thingy?

On the cars without the rainsensor yes it does work as a time delay control, you definatly don't have a sensor at the top of the windscreen?

No. I used to work for National windscreens, so im pretty clued up on screens and sensors, i have had the car about 6 months but with all the rain recently the wipers havent been off and i havent noticed the non working delay before?

The setting itself works, as in they are intermitant but there is no available time delay change.......?

Yeah probably will try a different switch and see what happens, just wondered if they were all like that and nobody had ever noticed!
