    Default Are Kärcher any good?

I recently bought a pressure washer from my not so local B&Q and after a couple of weeks it sprung a leak. I took it back and the replacement one did the same thing the second time I used it. Took that back too and got a refund. The model (KB3030) isn't listed on the Kärcher UK website, so I don't know where B&Q get them from.

Anyone got good/bad tales to tell about theirs? Was it just a dodgy batch? Are they as unreliable as I now think, or are they normally reliable? Should I buy another? Should I have spent more money (it was £100)?

I bought a couple of accessories for it, so a different make will mean these're no good to me!

    Whatya think?

Had a Karcher for years,as have my folks and one brother, and they've been absolutely fine.

The reason you can't find the model number on the Karcher site could be that it isn't a current model any longer. But the other reason is that B&Q get 'customised' versions i.e. the last couple of numbers are different and all that is different is the accessories that come with it.

Thought this might be the case. I think that maybe the model I bought is a bit flakey and I need to spend a bit more money?

I lied about them not being on the website!

    Here it is.

    http://www.karcher.co.uk/product.php?pr=97

Does seem to be B&Q specific, looking at the retailer list.

I've had a reconditioned Karcher for about 5 years now, cost me £30 and hasn't let me down yet. (touch wood)

By far the best to go for IMHO

Guess you've been unloucky and had two from a faulty batch....

The thing is it shouldnt really spring a leak after 2 weeks!! It should be still "fit for the purpose" and all that
