Knocking, but disappears when I brake!?

Hi,

I have a slight knocking when driving my v6 CDTI Signum... but diappears even if I only slightly depress the brake pedal!?!

It seems to be coming from the rear.

Check the brake pads mate..more than likely rattling about.

agreed with dose - you may have lost a retaining clip or spring - worse case scenario you will loose a pad - and could cause the pistons to push into the disc on braking causing you unecessary costs of replacement caliper and pads and discs - get it checked as soon as possible
