    Default wheel Vibration

Got both front tyres changed on Vec and have had really bad vibration through steering wheel. My mates gonna have a look as the wheels probably haven't been balanced properly but there seems to be another hollow vibration sound. Has anyone had unbalanced wheels that hab=ve vibrated something else loose??

if it was ok before you had tyres fitted it's balancing or tyres out of true, are they budget tyres.jack up each wheel in turn, place a pointer allmost touching side wall of tyre and spin wheel, check if tyre runs true allway round tyre.do the same with tyre just clear of ground ,spin wheel check for oval running

Hi mate, I had the same problem when Vauxhall repaired my car, they re-balanced using the origional weights still on the wheels and just counter balanced them lol!!!

Anyhows its causes all sorts of weird noises but i wouldn't worry too much, it will just be a balance issue!

Actually got mine fixed tonight and goes perfect now

if it wasn't doing it before you had the new tyres, then it'll be a balancing issue.

I had to have two wheels replaced because they were bent / buckled - no kerbing damage, so I assume it must have been a pothole or three.
