    Default Peoples home cinema setups

I'm on another forum and this has been popular. Mine is a very simple setup and is not exactly the tidiest but it does the job.

    Samsung 42inch plasma
    Marantz amp/jbl balboa floor standers
    Acer multimedia pc
    Old Xbox

Don't be shy and get some pictures up

    Very nice indeed.

I'm a bit fanatical about home cinema, have been for a while as love my movies and cannot beat Dolby Digital surround sound.

    My current setup is:

    Panasonic Viera 42" Plasma
    Cambridge Audio Azur 540r Receiver
    Aural Envelope EX300 Floor Standers
    Mission M2s Centre Speaker
    Mordaunt-Short MS308 Sub Woofer
    Gale 3010s Surround Speakers
    Sky HD
    PS2
    PS3
    Wii

Everything is wired through the amp for the ultimate movie/gaming experience. All the speakers are connected with Gale XL160-2 Oxy-Free speaker cable and i'm using The Chord Company and Van Den Hul HDMI cables for the PS3 and Sky. Recently replaced the standard power cable for the TV with a Copper Line Alpha Power Cable.

All my movies/pictures/music are stored on an external hard drive attached to my PC and they are all streamed through the PS3.

Next on the list now is a HDMI Receiver to get the most out of the sound but it's pretty good now. Spent a small fortune no doubt when I look back and i'm on the Christmas Card list at Richer Sounds!!!

    Anyway, here's my set-up.

    Very nice setup

I can see there being some very nice setups on here.

I'm hoping to upgrade to getting the sub and centre speaker to match my floorstanders but it also means changing the amp as well so it may be a while yet.

My set-up is still in progress (and there are no pictures - sorry!)

At the moment it consists of:

    Panasonic 28" CRT TV
    Toshiba DVD player
    Sony DA1200ES surround amp/receiver
    KEF 2005.2 "Eggs" plus sub.

In the near future, I hope to get a 32" LCD TV and a decent-ish blu-ray player.

At least the sound is excellent.
