    Default TID dead?

    Hello.
First post here and I start with a problem. I have a 2008 Vectra C, and this morning, TID was dead. Nothing appear on the TID. Also, my wife noticed that cd player don't stop when she takes off the key.
Do you know what it could be? I searched a lot and i didn't found answer to my problem.
    Thaks a lot.

    Could be an electronic glitch.

Try unplugging the radio and leave unpowered for a few hours.
When reconnected this should do a reset.

Have you checked your fuses...there are at least two in the fuse box at the end of the dash. FI1, FI17 are for info display and headunit. Fuses FI12 and FI19 also provide inputs to the body control unit which provides further voltage and control signals for the infotainment system.

As the radio itself will not turn off, we can assume that the 15 amp fuse at the rear of the radio itself is okay.

If the ignition key has no effect on the radio, then it is assumed that the "Ignition Logic" function has been turned off, or has gone on a bender. Hard to tell without feedback from the screen...
Finally....see if this can be fixed under warranty by your dealer.

    Thanks a lot Robsey!
I was to Opel Service and the problem was that one fuse was broken and also some bulbs (I don't know exactly) behind the display.
The problem was fixed under waranty.

Opel wil not have spent much on that - one fuse and 2 bulbs....about 13 euros or 10 gb pounds....even at their silly prices.

There are three bulbs along the back of the TID, just twist out like the normal dash bulbs found in older cars.

    Glad to be of help..
