Unhappy I have ballzed up....doh! (HELP!!!)

I am really concerned now as I have just taken my Z22SE veccy for a drive to see if my efforts had made a difference....its made the 'pick up' better i think. (i cleaned my throttle body & put iy back together as per one of the how 2's)
The worry i have now is that when i dip the clutch to change gear, the revs on the rev counter dont appear to drop as quickly as they should....they seem to be hanging a bit....now i'm worried i've ballzed something up big style.....HELP, I AM NOW IN YOUR HANDS!!

I haven't seen the 'how to' that you mention but, did you clean the idle valve? If so, did you oil it back up with some 3 in 1 oil or similar?

I used to have an idle revs problem on my old Astra which was always the idle valve. Either the gasket wasn't doing it's job or it just needed a clean and oil up.

No breathers on 2.2 TB mate.

No idle valve either, the TB butterfly control's idle on the 2.2

Same as I said in your other thread mate, as the idle is controlled by the butterfly, now that you have cleaned it more air is getting through. The only thing it might be is if you unbolted it and didnt bolt it back on properly.

Just pop a smear of oil on the rubber gasket when you put it back on.

Now I am thinking about it, it didn't seem to screw back on quite as sweet as I thought it might. I will give it a bit more care tomorrow
