    Default Dynomat ££££!!!

Just done this like a couple of other on here

The think is vibrating the boot to bits and the price of dynomat per square foot is stupid. Here's the thing, I read in fast car or the likes a couple of years ago about a guy doing his boot in roof flashing! Same as the above but just bit thinner. What do you think? Its loads cheaper.

I used the roof flashing to soundproof my 2.0 16v nova, it made a huge difference and was only a faction of the cost!

Nice job mate. Another one to the sub club!

    Yeah roof flashing works!!

I removed all the clips which hold the trim in as they rattled like mad with the bass. I just use the T20 screws to hold the panel in. More than adequate.

How big is that sub mate? Ive got a 12" jbl in a box that takes up loads of room , Ihad to take it out of my last veccy in case had passengers with loads of luggage but that looks spot on as it doesnt actually take up any of the boot space, think I will have totry that thanx for the idea m8

    10 inches on a 18 mm baffle

Held the baffle in with a brace at top and used them threaded screw things that come up from the boot floor. To hold the boot side panel in place I used some plastic rivets that vx use to hold the bumper on with. They are a bit over-sized so hold it in place good and proper. This will only work if you have a newer vec as the boot trim is different. My 53 plate has a nice enclosure behind the hatch so I had to swap it with my old mans 55. VX cutting costs again! Its an easy mod to do and will sound great to reinforce bass. If its out and out crystal clear punch your after then a box is still the best option, but if like me and CDTI you use the boot then this is a cracking option. Plus no prying eyes! Im no sound tec but if anyone wants any help with this mod then give me a shout. By the way this is running of standard headunit and through vibe amp.
