removing sri bumper insert

little job on saturday,was to remove rear bumper insert on my o6 sri,and fit new vxr insert- part no 9271537 ( £45.54 ). ready for twin exit exhaust system- all in stainless with no silencers ,with vxr tips ( £ 180 fitted ). but what a pain to remove the original hope to save the original,was i so wrong. finished up cutting tabs off from rear. not a easy job be warned .

hi. best tip is to cut off as many tabs as you can from behind. then pull original insert from one side first ( n/s ) and hope it pops out in one good pull. not easy . good luck.

i'm still waiting for the parts back painted. Had them painted silver but now thinking maybe should of painted it black?

They are ready to be collected now from the paint booth so i'll be fitting them tomorrow night. COD MW2 tonight i think.
