    Default Recommend me some springs!

Right then, mot time has highlighted a fracture in one of my springs so new springs it is! I've got a 1.8 LS. I'd like it to sit abit lower and handle a bit better but budget is a consideration aswell. What would people recommend from experience? Any links would be good.

Can't go wrong with the Eibach set up, very tried and tested.

Having an LS, you should lower it 30mm (any lower requires new shocks) so you can get PI, Koni, JameX, Eibach etc....

The Eibach's are the most expensive, they are about £160, while others would be about the £100 mark.

I have -45mm PI's on mine and are very good indeed, their 30mm version is £102 and would be by far, my recommendation over any else.

I was just thinking before anyone said go the whole hog and get some new shocks. It would be nice but I'm on a tight budget and the LS doesn't really warrant it to be honest.

I'm taking off my PI's in 2 and a half weeks time although they are 45mm but were used with standard shocks.

Thats fair enough mate, it can turn into a fairly expensive job, and getting rid of the VX springs is highly recommended IMO as when (not if) they snap it could be very, very dangerous indeed.

I must admit I'm pleased it was spotted at a fracture stage and not by me binning the car due to it breaking!
