    Default Hello there....

.....thought I would introduce myself.....have bought a 1.9cdti 150 and after two weeks managed to put it over a roundabout.....

First lack of concentration in 8 years of driving so not bad really

Anyhows the damage is below on the pics....good job my 8 years no claims was protected.

I've had Calibras over the years and have for a while drove Vectra's, we have a fleet of 1.9cdti's 150's in the works garage so have some good fun with them.

My friend also used to have the 888 1.9cdti Astra which is a scary scary handling car....but GREAT fun!!!!

My dad had the 2ltr turbo limited 100 Vectra but sold that for a Insignia which he loves and I must admit its a cracking car.

I'm in Redcar if anyone is around from the North East, hope to get to a few meets in the future.

Mods to the car so far:

    Sunglasses unit
    Re-map ;-)
    Vauxhall Vectra Mats
Cracking Drivers door so the new link going on tonight (are they the same as the Calibras?)
Oh and 3k worth of repairs to the front and suspension and 1 new wheel with 3 refurbed

But the car actually drives better than ever now and is so smooth...oh nd DEFINATELY not related to the crash but the remapped 1.9cdti engine is faster than my mates 2.2 direct!!

After the car was taken into Vauxhall I got it back but still wasn't happy with is, mainly because the rear camber was out on one wheel by 2 degrees, but all sorted now lol!

Here are some pics of the cars (and damage) - not got any of the Insignia as yet

Other faults is that the dreaded Dual Mass Flywheel is on its way out, i've found a local place who can get the conversion kit for £350 so job after christmas me thinks

And after this crash I need some new DECENT brakes!!!

    Rob
