plug and wiring ?

3 wires and a plug going up onto the side of fuel filter on my 150 bhp cdti sri 2006 and the wires are connected to the right hand side of the filter cannister by a plastic piece, but the wires and plug go down onto nothing from there,there are other wires also on the left side but they are connected to other things,does anyone know if these wires go anywhere, i cannot take photos cause its too dark, thanks

i had that on my 2.0 dti 04 plate iy looked like it plug in on the top of fuelk filter so i plug it bak in

think there are 2 plug on these, top one is for fuel filter heater and bottom one detects if theres water in the filter.

Hmmm will need to look at the filter i never actually thought on the filter itself looked elsewhere due to the length of the wire

Yep that was it guys spot on it was the water in fuel plug had to get a mirror to check it out and plug in
