    Default corsa-c timing chain

    anyone done a timing chain on a corsa-c 1.2 ?, the lads 2001 y 1.2 is starting to be noisy when hot, advise gained points to timing chain, a pointer to a how to would be nice if anyone has put one up elsewhere.

    first of all you would need timing tools can be bought from independant .need to remove rocker cover and front pipe and sump support engine take off engine mount alt belt waterpump pulley and alternator and tensioner time up engine no 1 cyl at top slots in cams horizontal fit cam tool in slots on front of engine near timing chain side torq head nut t55 remove crank pin fits there when timed up remove t 18 bolt from crank pulley middle bolt slide off pulley remove all t 10 bolts note different lenghts water pump ones loonger 5 of them remove timing case then easy to work out dont loosen cam pulley bolts if you are just fitting chain and guides fit new gasket first before chain hope this helps......will take about 1/2 day to do if every thing comes off ok

    You must do a helluva lot of those corsa timing chains, the amount of corsa's running around sounding like tractors is unbelievable.

    yeah same hear you could do it in a couple of hours but some one who hasn't done one and at home without air tools going to be about 1/2day job i think standard time is about 5 hours
