Default Help !! Spanner Warning Light !!!

    Afternoon all

Driving into work this morning and dreaded Spanner Warning light came on!
Went off then reappeared , then off again !

Until today I have never had this warning light, I know there could be any number of reasons for it activating, so if anyone could assist I would be very greatfull.

Car has been serviced every 10.000 miles all Vx parts, Cambelt changed 3 months ago, Just over 40.000 miles completed.

Car is running Smooth, however I am concerned about Warning light.

Oil level checked and correct level
Antifreeze checked Slightly Below so I topped it up

    Any Ideas much appreciated

    John

Like you say mate there could be a number of reasons, best bet would be to get codes read maybe someone near you has a code reader and might be able to assist, failing that take it to the dealers and ask them to read codes then post back here HTH

But if it was just the once it might not be anything to worry about

Think we need to know more about it, like what were the conditions when it came on etc. Although it could well be nothing.

Does the spanner come on and then go off when the ignition is first turned on?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Spanner = something wrong, get the fault code(s) read then get it fixed.
Oil can = service due soon/now (press trip reset button with ignition turned off to find miles left).

    Hello mate

This thread may help you with reading the codes without any equipment.

If it works, put the codes up. Good luck.
