Default Lowering - speed bump issues

    Hi

I think my car could do with lowering, lol. I have seen a nice set of eibach springs with a 30mm drop. Just wondering if I will have any issues with speed bumps etc?

    cheers

30mm won't give you any issues when it comes to speed bumps.

I have 45mm springs and have no issues with speed bumps, the only issues are when driving upto curbs, i.e. my car now doesn't clear them, but to be honest it was mightily close before lowering.

Yours not being an SRi 30mm is your best option.

    Thanks for the replies.

I am also considering changing the wheels (which i definitely can't afford). I am going to get it lowered first to see what it looks like then make a decision on the wheels.

I've got an SRI lowered 30mm on Eibachs and it was the best thing i've ever done.

Get your wallet out and just do it.

I know they are more expensive than other springs (nearly twice a smuch as some), I have had Eibachs before and I was mightily impressed. Next on my list is definitely to lower it with Eibachs.

The eibachs are great - not too bumpy when driving normally but if you decide to give it some beans around corners you feel them gripping.

Go to revolution in Gateshead for them - think i paid £160 for them a few months back.

I have 45mm PI springs and it's all good. My SRI is running on original 17s and the ride is really good too. I would recommend you to get it lowered 45mm instead of 30 as 30 doesn't make much of a difference.
