Default 2x back to dealers for handbrake 58 plate

    Need some help here guys,

due to having fords for the last 10 years and now jumping ship to vauxhall to which i know sod all about i need some help/advice/suggestiones on the fault

Its a 58 plate sri 1.8vvt vectra-c and the issue concerns the handbrake

not that it doesnt hold or rolls away

the problems when you pull the handbrake on now and again it feels like the cable to the bottom of the lever has slackened so its like jumping into place

you can hear the slack cable catching at the bottom of the lever

as i understand it the 2 rear cables go into a horseshoe type metal bracket from which another cable runs from the bracket to the bottom of the lever

had it back to the dealers twice now, today they said yes the technician heared it but on both occacions said there self adjusting and have been lubricated, the handbrakes within its travel allowance and thats it

point is why is it catching now and again at the base of the lever??to me its as if the cables strectched and excess play in the cable hence the slack not being taken up sometimes and the excess naking the cable come out of where it sits and then it grabs into place?

sorry about the long winded way

    just need somr advice chaps

can't realy fall out and they self adjust so their should be no slack. if it holds ok wouldn't worry

Mine does the same occasionally, I just disengage the handbrake and reapply it.
