    Default Could it be the,,,

BACK BOX,? I have just realised that I started to get slightly lower MPG just after I had a new back box fitted, I thought it because the car was getting due a service, any way, have put new plugs, BOSCH SUPER PLUS, FRAM air filter, oil and filter, also took out the trumpet in the air box, that got rid of the flat spot's and the car seem nice to drive, but still seems to be using a bit more juce than I would have thought, I am just to fill it up so shall see,, question,,, back box change = lower MPG, What do you think?

You've probably been driving it "slighty" harder, after weeks/months of limping around on a dodgy backbox, you feel free to drive a bit more enthusiastically.... imo

well as I have said in my other post (air box mod) the car has done 35.2 when I would have expected 38 ish, all through last winter the car did 38 at its lowest to 43.5 highest.

I have just worked it out, 2.8 mpg average less, since the back box was fitted
