Default Can service intervals be changed? Mines every 10k.

    Folks,

I am wondering if the Service Intervals on the Vec-C CDTI 150 can be changed?

My dad's CDTI 150 on a 55-reg Facelift is stupuidly every 10k miles. It comes up with Insp 1000 every 10k miles and I have been having it done.

The car has 30k on it and has been serviced 3 times.

Im just wondering that shouldnt this car be on a 20k service interval? If so, how can this be switched over?

    Thanks.

    Bye bye Vec B

should only be on 10k if it has a dpf, although it would be silly to leave it 20k as the oil is shot by then.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

As above - you're doing it no harm at all by changing the oil more often. I used to do mine every 5K on my 1.9 150...

In process of doing the service myself this year and b****r the dealer stamp.
Its a 55reg 1.8 Facelift with theZ18XE petrol and 38K on the clock...I say this after Local Vx dealer Bristol Street Motors serviced it last year...
They rang me to tell me a service was due and the price..I haggled and got it down a fair bit. They omitted various things agreed at the time I haggled and put Helix 10W40 Engine oil in, not GM LL...and tried to tell me it was really 5W/30.....When they rang me this year I said no thanks and decided to do it myself...I'm no spring chicken @ 69+ but so far so good...worst job is the fuel filter which I plan to tackle over the weekend...cheers

From what I can see ECO Service is 20K miles / 1 year on this engine
Have a look at the front section of the service book
It was 20K miles when the engine was first introduced and still 20K miles up to MY2005
