Default Immobilised? 'Safe' Car and padlock.

Whats going on? I took my vec to the garage today for a new radiator. They phoned to say the wrong rad had been delivered and would have do it tomorow. I went to pick the car up as I needed it tonight but when I got there he asked if I have a spare key because the car has immobilised! (witch I dont)
The central screen says 'SAFE' and the dash screen has a car all locked up by a giant fekin padlock. The key fob still locks/unlocks the doors but wont start the car.
They had someone with diagnostics there who sed its locked out for 10 hours? Has anyone seen this before?
What has happened here and how can it be sorted?
    Bill

The battery has been disconnected as the safe on the screen is for the HU. This is a very very long shot but when my ABS plug was wet it also immobilized the car, radiator swap, water, as said its a very very long shot, but pop it off and make sure its all clean and dry.

that can be done by an op-com.

but if you leave the ignition on over night should be fine.

also what you may need to concider is how much batt power you are going to use over night as in this weather im sure the glow plug's will be coming off and on in the night. if you have a booster cable you can link up to hold charge in the batt (might be an idea).

otherwise if your Batt dies you will have to do the whole lot again.

just to top it off when you leave the ignition on in your car, lock it with the spare key But don't lock it with button as this may effect unlocking the immobilize on car, lock it the old fashion way with a key.
