I had a look but could only find info on 1.9cdti & 3.0ltr.

Hi! I am working on a permanent solution for this. Have a look here.

What you at first could try, is to simply unplug the vakuum pipe who controls the throttle blade, and seal the vakuum pipe with a tiny screw, pin, etc. At the moment I am running with a blanking plate and unplugged throttle blade, and it runs better than ever.
As soon as I have tried for a while without any fault codes, I will make a How-to with better pictures and explanation
