    Default Egr valve (again)

Eh up guys. Only a quick bit of advice please, i keep reading about problems with the egr valve on veccy cdti 150, is this just a poor design fault of the cdti engine? Have vx modified the part now or do u still get this part failing on newer models, i understand it is an easy job to clean/replace the part so not a major issue i suppose, just wanted some advice, cheers.

sorry if this is a bit thick of me, when you say blanking plate do you mean this does away with egr valve?? how does this effect the engine not having the valve. am i right in saying the valve re circulates the exhaust gasses back into the engine, i fix boilers for a living so not totally stupid but dont have much knowledge about diesel engines.

They are not really blanking plates. They restrict the flow of recirculated gases which in turn looks after the inlet manifold and egr valve. You cannot completely blank off the egr valve because the ECU will be looking for it and it will bring up fault codes. The only way it can be done it with a certain type of remap (can't remember which one does this )

Other than the EGR Valve and Third Injector Loom (both replaced in the last 15 months/10,000 miles) what else can cause no power below 2000 RPM?

    Cheers in advance
