Default Noise from front suspension. Don't know where from

    Hi everybody.

I'm facing a problem. I have a nasty noise coming from the front suspension and it's been "killing" me for 6-7 days now.

The sound is something like "trosk", one time when I get the car moving and one time when I approach a stop light. The sound feels like it's present every time the nose of the car comes up (accelerating) and down (braking).

The sound is pretty much weighty, low-pitched, like something big isn't fitted well.

Tonight I went to a friend of mine with the help of whom I checked all the bushes and all the screws. We also removed the lower plastic shield to get to engine mounts. The only screws that we had to tighten a little were the 2 that were holding the steering. All the other screws seemed ok as tighten torques.

Well, after leaving from the workshop, the sound was still there, but it seemed somehow lower in volume.

the questions is: has anyone had a similar problem and if so, what was the fault?

    1. Drop links are the long links that connect the AR bar to the damper, right? If so, they are ok.

    2. What is the wishbone?

    3. I don't think the ARB bushes and/or the radiator mountings can do that solid noise, but maybe you can confirm I'm wrong. If so, are you talking about the water radiator, A/C radiator or intercooler?

    Thanks.

Just came back from my mechanic again and I must say, we don't know 100% sure where the sound is coming from. We think the front bushing from the front arms are the ones that are gone, but as I said, we are not 100% sure. We checked again the body, nothing came up.

Also, last night when I came home and wanted to park the car, as I was preparing to move the front a little bit forward to the right, before I got the car moving, I got the same sound when I turned the wheel from left to right. As soon as I began to turn the wheel, "trosc!".

Tried to figure the piece in EPC4, but I think I can't find it without the arm. If anyone knows the part number, I would really appreciate if he would share it.

Just look at the red circle in the photo:

Tomorrow morning I'll be visiting another mechanic, maybe he can figure it out.

I was wondering if it could be the bearing from the top of the damper. It doesn't sound like it's coming from the top part, but I can't tell for sure where from.

Great news! After 2 elevator lifts and checks under the car, the conclusion was the same: the bushing shown in the photo. Well, after that, the owner of the service took the car for a last ride and concluded it's not from there, he said: let's check the calipers. Car up again, wheels off, calipers checked: nothing wrong. Wheels on again, car dropped to the ground, last conclusion: the bushing for sure, it was the weakest part of all.

After 4 hours of driving with no noise, yes, with NO noise, I phoned him and gave him the news. LAST conclusion: 1-2-3 wheel bolts was/were loose. They was such a small loose that no one was able to say exactly where the noise was coming from.

    Me happy again.

The wheels were on the car the all times it was checked, except the last time, when the mechanics wanted to check the calipers, as the boss suggested.
